Full Immersion Brewing
BREWING
Full immersion brewing refers to any method where ground coffee is fully submerged in water for exaction to take place. Immersion brewing tends to produce a coffee with relatively more body, and a more robust flavor as compared to drip brewing.
There is however, a risk of immersion brewed coffee becoming "muddy", as it is generally filtered with a fine metal mesh that allows more tiny coffee particles into the cup. Immersion brewing equipment includes the french press, Aeropress, and cold brewing devices.
