We are particularly moved to release one of our favourite coffee farms in El Salvador. Bourbon Elite is an old varietal and it grows particularly well at Los Pirineos which is a combination of varietal, soil and craftsmenship. Los Pirineos provides perfect growing conditions and it offers a great micro-climate for slow maturation, good rainfall and fertile volcanic soil.
This year we chose a semi-washed lot with flavours of praline, nougat, ripe plum and whipped cream. Enjoy a very creamy coffee that opens up even more sweetness with a little resting after roast. We love it.
Gilberto Baraona sadly passed away due to COVID-19. Our dear friend and coffee partner has been a shining beacon of El Salvadors coffee industry and beyond. Over the past ten years he had established one of the word´s top coffee farms with a varietal program that many dream of. His passion, dedication for detail and determination took him from being Mr Pacamara to Mr Cup of Excellence: Gilberto is holding the record in CoE trophees.
With our coffee we want to celebrate Gilbertos unique personality and his drive to push coffee qualities to another level.
